-          Visual Inspection - This inspection method allows us to locate visible mold on the surfaces of building materials. We are looking to identify what areas have been damaged bye water or moisture. Signs of this can be warping, swelling, discoloration, and separation. Without water or moisture mold is not able to grow, so determining where water is or used to be is an important part in this process. Wet drywall, insulation, or other building materials might not be an issue now but they can become a major health risk in the future if left untreated.

-          Air Quality Testing – Air Quality Testing is the only way to accurately determine what kind of mold is airborne in either your residential or commercial property. These tests provide a “snapshot in time” of exactly what kind and quantity of mold is present. Using our specialized equipment, we can test specific amounts of air, which trap mold spores inside an air-o-cell cassette. This cassette is then taken to a laboratory for review. However, sometimes without using Surface Sampling along side with Air Quality Testing an accurate representation is not able to be determined. The reason for this is occasionally mold will be present in the property; it just won’t be airborne at that point in time. Depending on the situation it can be very useful to utilize both methods of sampling to insure that all possible molds are detected.

-          Surface Sampling - Surface Samples are either taken from a tape lift, swab, or bulk sample. This testing method is the most effective way to determine exactly what type of mold is present on bathrooms, drywall, closets, basements, ceilings, or any other building material. However, it is not able to detect air borne issues so unless you are able to visibly see somethingthat looks like mold it may not be the best option. Our Mold Testing company proudly services the Phoenix Valley area.
